Day 1 of Rwanda Gorillas
The tour starts from either Dar es Salaam, Nairobi or Mt Kilimanjaro International Airport. You will fly from one of the above to Kigali International Airport, Rwanda. You will be met by a Safaris-R-Us company representative and immediately commence your Gorilla Tour by going on a Kigale City tour which includes lunch and a visit to the Rwandan Genocide Memorial. Afterwards, you drive to Ruhengeri township on the foothills of the Virunga volcanoes. Drive should take a few hours. You will arrive at a lodge in the later afternoon for dinner and overnight. Lunch and dinner is provided. Bottled drinking water is also provided in the vehicle.
Day 2 of Rwanda Gorillas
After an early br
eakfast you will drive to Volcanoes National Park so that you are at the park office by 7am. You will be allocated a gorilla tracking group and given a briefing before the tracking commences. Once the Mountain Gorillas have been found, you will stay with them for up to an hour as they go about their daily life - feeding, playing, resting and raising their young. In the afternoon, you will tour the nearby Ex-poacher’s Village In the late afternoon return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Lunch and dinner provided. Bottled drinking water is also provided in the vehicle.
Day 3 of Rwanda Gorillas
Early breakfast again and return to the Park office at 7am to be allocated a Golden Monkeys tracking group and given a briefing by your trackers be
fore you head off. Afterwards, trek back to the park office and drive to the lodge for a good shower and lunch. After lunch enjoy sightseeing around Twin Lakes, Burera and Ruhondo. In the late afternoon return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.Lunch and dinner provided. Bottled drinking water is also provided in the vehicle.
Day 4 of Rwanda Gorillas
Have a sleep in, then after breakfast, start the drive back to Kigale to catch a lunchtime flight to Mt Kilimanjaro (Tanzania) via Nairobi. Have a snack on the way to the airport. At Nairobi you will be met by a Safaris-R-Us representative and transferred to a hotel in Nairobi for overnight. Breakfast, morning tea and dinner provided. Bottled drinking water is also provided in the vehicle in Rwanda.
