Uroa Bay Beach Resort is located halfway up the eastern side of Zanzibar, in one of the less-touristy areas along the coast. It is a newly completed resort with 400m of beautiful beach, complete with umbrellas and sun beds overlooking the ocean.
Uroa Bay consists of 40 rooms in double/twin size, private verandah, en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, ceiling fan, safe, mini bar, television, and internet connection (dependent upon the electricity supply). In 24 of the rooms, the sofa can open out into a third bed if necessary.
The Resort has 6 Sea Front Rooms, 6 Sea View Rooms and 28 Garden Rooms with partial view of the sea.
There are two pools, one for children and another for adults which is deeper and has massage jets.
“This new (Italian) hotel village is terrific! Along the beautiful coast of Uroa, you do not find many tourists and it is on a beautiful stretch of beach that is a nice compromise between the North and the South. The Hotel, and
rooms which are really luxury bungalows, are really clean, cosy, well equipped (Internet, TV, Fridge) and it has a beautiful view on the beach. The food is mostly Italian with a touch of Zanzibarian sea food....if you really wish for local food you can find it along the beach as at the local restaurants. Also, there is a beautiful pool when tides are low...Someone who is looking for rest on a budget will be happy here!”
