Tarangire River Camp is just 3.5km from the entrance gate to Tarangire National Park and overlooks the Tarangire River. Accommodation is offered in 20 tents with thatched roofs, raised on wooden platforms.
There are 7 double, 9 twin, 2 triple and 2 family furnished tents, each having an en-suite bathroom, tasteful furniture throughout and a balcony where one can view Mt Kilimanjaro and Mt Meru. Some of the front row tents even have views of the river from their balconies and part of the honeymoon tent's balcony extends around one of the big trees.
The camp features a lounge and dining area with a view of the river that is centered around an enormous Baobab tree. Great dinners are served by candlelight in this elevated timber dining area (or on your personal verandah if requested) with friendly staff on hand to cater to your every need.
