Ndutu Safari Lodge is located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area just outside the southeastern corner of Serengeti National Park. The lodge’s 34 stone cottage rooms are surrounded by brilliant flat-topped acacias, exotic birds, elephants in the yard, and zebras in the marsh…with each cottage’s verandah facing out over glistening Lake Ndutu.
All rooms are clean, made from local materials and contain beautiful en-suite bathrooms. The lodge is very eco-friendly by utilizing resources such as rain water and minimizing electric power consumption. Water in the bathrooms contain dissolved minerals which give the water a “soapy feel” and cannot be consumed. Therefore, fresh drinking water is provided. The friendly staff prepares a set menu for every meal that consists of meats, fruits and vegetables grown by local farmers.
A beautiful lounge, bar, and campfire are open to all guests. Tea and coffee are also complementary at all times in the lounge. Additional services such as laundry, money exchange, room escorts, telephone and internet are provided upon request. Because of its great location, friendly staff, and comfortable accommodation, Ndutu Safari Lodge is visited by repeat guests and reserves up to a year in advance. Early booking in this mid-level property is strongly advised.
