Giraffe Manor, located just 20 kilometers from Nairobi’s city centre, is set on 12 acres of private land and surrounded by indigenous forest. Built in 1932, this luxury boutique hotel has maintained all the charm of the era and is now famous for its resident herd of Rothschild Giraffes. The hotel offers an unparalleled experience with the giraffes, with them vying for guests’ attention at the breakfast table, the front door and even their bedroom windows!
The hotel boasts six double bedrooms with large four poster beds, antique furnishings, striking art decor and spacious bathrooms. If guests need a bit more space, the Karen Blixen Suite is also available with direct access to the courtyard, which opens up onto the giraffe sanctuary.
Giraffe Manor offers a delightful mix of traditional and modern elegance with its two story entrance hall, majestic staircase and immaculately furnished interiors. The chef on site will prepare traditional meals with a modern edge, helping to make a stay at Giraffe Manor even more memorable.
Along with its resident herd of giraffes, Giraffe Manor is also home to many other characters including warthogs, bushbuck, dik dik and over 180 species of birds.
