Arusha Coffee Lodge is part of a larger East African chain of mid-level and luxury accommodations. This lodge is comprised of 30 Plaintation Houses/Huts on a working coffee plantation located in Arusha at the foothills of Mt. Meru.
Each room contains a large four post bed, a split level lounge and sitting area divided by partitions infused with materials from the coffee plantation, private decks overlooking coffee bushes, in-room safe, tea and coffee making machines, en-suite bathroom, hair dryer, dial telephones, and mosquito nets covering the beds.
A bar serving various wines and spirits and a restaurant with an “a la carte” menu are onsite for your dining pleasure. Room service is also available during posted times.
WiFi is available to all guests in public areas. An open air swimming pool and shopping boutique is also onsite for guest use. Other amenities include babysitting and laundry services which can be arranged with reception at an additional cost.
One thing of note is that there is a gravel path from each hut to the main lodge. Therefore, this lodge is not advisable for wheel chair or handicapped individuals. If walking on gravel is a concern, please request a room closest to the main lodge.
Major credit cards accepted but the preferred currency is USD and Tanzanian Shilling. This accommodation is best suited for the upper mid-level traveler.
